Wyoming
Then we went to Wyoming. We saw the tetons.
And Yellowstone.
As fun, and as beautiful, as both of those were, we had more fun in Dubois. We were able to go off road quite a bit on public land which bordered the largest wilderness area in the lower 48, saw more petroglyphs which were untouched, and saw hundreds of animals.
Here is emily by a petroglyph which she found by herself.
We stayed at the second oldest KOA where I found these very old gas pumps.
A Final note on my New E-3. While trying to shoot family pics on the shores of lake yellowstone
Savannah decided that she would push the tripod over into the lake with my camera in it.... We had the camera on a 12 second timer. I saw the whole thing in slow motion as it happened. I was running across the rocks to grab the camera as it went into the water. It went off just in time to catch my worried expression as i pulled it out of the drink.
Fortunately the much advertised durability of this camera is not hype as this is the fourth serious fall that this camera has taken, and the first time to be completely submerged. I dried it off and checked it out. Everything was fine. I did loose one cokin filter when it hit the rocks at the bottom. Other than that, it was unharmed.

Utah
We spent most of our time in Vernal and Salt Lake City. We managed to get time to go down to arches national park. In vernal, we went through dry fork canyon to find petroglyphs. A visit to Salt Lake isnt complete without a visit to Temple Square.

Colorado
These are some of the pictures from Colorado. We went to pikes peak, manitou springs, manitou cave dwellings, garden of the gods, Mesa Verde National Park, Lake Molas, Durango, the old 100 mine, and glenwood springs.
